Finally home. The trip home was super fun, especially when you run into a snow storm :( It is good to get back to normal life routines, like coming home to working 3 graves.
There are a few things that were excited to see, we got to pick up the little doggy, Boomer. He was so happy to see us and we were equally excited to see him. Ahh puppy love! The other thing we were excited about seeing was our house and the paint on the walls and trim. It by the way looks amazing! Next step is flooring, man we are rolling right along.
This is my outfit for the day that I have to work that night. Super comfy and low maintenance. Sometimes I find myself trying too hard to be fancy, all the time. Believe it or not, sometimes I feel its harder to dress slouchy and cute than dressing up and professional. Im probably just over thinking it lol.

I got the pleasure of going to Tiffany & Co 1st Annual Christmas Event here at City Creek. It was so much fun and I got my gorgeous cousin Mackenzie to come with me! We got to mingle with some new girls and have Breakfast at Tiffanys! These are just pictures of my outfit, but I promise more pictures of the event to come!

Today I went to an 8 hour training to learn how to use a new simulation doll my hospital bought, since I'm on the code blue team I was kind of interested on what this simulation doll could do. WHOA, this doll can do everything! It can speak, cry, you can change breath sounds, heart sounds, bowel sounds, place a chest tube, IO, IV, intubate and actually shock the doll. It was impressive!
After the training I am on call from 7pm-7am tomorrow, I'm soooo happy that the unit is down on the census and that I haven't been called in yet! It would make for a long day, especially since I have to be to work tomorrow at 6am anyways to train the charge nurses on being a first responder...man it's a busy couple of day!
Other than work, I thought I'd like my outfit... but umm its alright. I didn't want to wear stilettos since I might be doing chest compressions in a scenario and so I wore these wedges...well wedges and straight legged jeans don't go together. The rest of the outfit is good, just wish I would have picked some different jeans. Oh well we live and learn!
I can't believe I'm almost to 100 followers...amazing! Thank you all for reading, it really means a lot!
Well I'm going to watch the debate now, then make it to the gym...hopefully!

Not quite sure how I feel about this Friday, only because I've had the whole week off and I work on Sunday night. My week off is almost over :( But it was lovely just having a week off just because!

I can't wait until I have kids to start the tradition where you take them to the local pumpkin patch and pick out that little pumpkin, to see them running around looking at all of the pumpkins on the ground and can't decide which one to get. Then to take cute family pictures while sitting on the bale of straw they have just aligned perfectly for it. Yep that is one memory I can't wait to start making when I finally have my own little ones. But until then, I'll continue to go out to the pumpkin patch by myself to take pictures of myself haha
One thing I just noticed as I was pulling my Amys Pizza out of the oven, I am so much better at everything a man does. For example yesterday I was using a hammer, drill, and a circular saw but every time I open that dang oven and pull something out I burn my dang hand! GRR haha It's a good think my husband loves to cook and do the man stuff! We make an amazing couple!
I'm going up to the lake for the last time this year, time to close the cabin :(

Last night when I went to sleep @ 9:30 I had a plan to make a picture for the Lake, do my homework, and lounge around all day. Well my coworker Amber had other plans for me, she text me around 830 AM and said 'Come to the Intensive Medicine Clinical Program Conference'. At first I thought...It would be fun but it started around 7:30 and I don't want to be the loser who shows up super late...It would be informative...but man I'm going to be late. Whatever, I got up, took a 2 min shower, got ready, and made it down there all within an hour! This was a miracle because the location is about 30 minutes drive time away! I made it right in time to see the director of our ICU speak and let me say I'm so glad I went today. Although I spaced meeting with the cabinet guy this morning, which I do feel horrible about I learned about what's to come to my ICU, how things are changing, and more information about a certain disease process that I deal with regularly. But yes I was still the loser that showed up late...oh well!
So the pictures above are 2 of the amazing doctors I work with, Dr Clemmer in the top picture and Dr Beninati in the lower one. I am grateful to work with such intelligent men who love to teach, and I know I learned from them as they presented today. So thank you! Today I'm going tile shopping. I'm excited and really hoping it's going to be simple in and out type of a thing (but lets not joke here, it's going to be the complete opposite of that). The only thing I'm thinking that might make this process a little easier is the fact that I've searched high and low and found some great examples of what I want my tile to look like.
Today I also repainted the table...but this time I took out my new sander that I bought last week and made a huge mess in my carport and all over my car, sanded about 5 layers of paint off. This time the color is fantastic, I actually went and bought paint from Ace Hardware instead of using left over paint. I think it will turn out well. Check out my instagram @nikki1156 for pictures.

I titled this post Bling Bling because I feel like everything I'm wearing is so shiny! PS I like shiny things!!
Other than my shiny blinging self I'm standing in front of the lot that will hold my new house! Last night the Hubs and I were pre-approved to build our house! Now just a few more things to do before the hole gets dug! I can't wait to move into our new house! It's been a long process and I feel so lucky to have this opportunity!
One thing special about our future home is the Hubs drew the plans, and that in itself was one of my bucket list items. We've completed a lot of our bucket list items this year and it just feels amazing to be moving forward into a new chapter of life.
So with that news I probably should also share that my Pinterest account has been taken over by house design stuff and not fashion. Sorry about that. Well guys I work graves this weekend so I'm going to be sleeping during the day and most likely won't get ready. Until next week then, have a great weekend!

Which by the way is ok for me to say because...I'm half asian! I'm actually half vietnamese...what is that you are thinking...no way...I know I don't look asian at all.
