Sorry about no post yesterday, I had to work and my camera was out of batteries and I couldn't find the charger until today. Which means no early planning for a post to be done. But I'm playing catch up right now!
This past weekend was full of pumpkin carving, crazy hair, and projects getting finished! Hubs and I went to 2 parties and carved our pumpkins. The first party we went to was with my cousins and we took a small little pumpkin which I pulled the boring decorator and just carved an H in it for our last name. But the cool part was that the party was called the 'Fun-Do' party where we had chocolate fondue and did your hair crazy instead of dressing up. So I must say our hair rocked!! Don't you think? I tried to pull the 80's hair, then I went crazy and did the light blue eye shadow, the bright red lipstick, and the denim jacket. Hubs hair we made it stick completely straight out like he stuck his finger in a light socket! It was lots of fun.
Now I've been dying to share my finished projects!! I finished a few of them but wont completely share all the details of them today. Here is a list...

but I want to share with everyone this project and I'll save those for later on in the week
* The old worktable. Does anyone remember my old worktable I bought from the DI? If not read about it here. But IT'S COMPLETE and in the kitchen doin' it's thing. After it got completed I couldn't sell it(which I knew was going to happen) but now our kitchen is slightly tight with all the furniture in it. But it functionally works great!
(don't mind the dishes in the sink, we are going for the lived in look)
I like how it turned out! Oh here is a little update on the October Famine...I'm still goin! Haven't bought a single clothing item or accessory the WHOLE month!! Only a few more days to go!!

Over the weekend I paid a visit to the amazing girl who does my hair, Kim Byrd. This time i finally did it, after talking about it for 6+ months with her i finally got hair extensions! I was so excited that i finally made the commitment, and I am so glad i did! Kim did such an amazing job!! But you'll just have to see for yourself.

I want to apologize for my absence (once again). But i had quite the weekend between my husband and my brother in and out of drs. Don't fret though everything is fine with both of them, just my brother is going to take sometime to heal his broken bone.So the reason for my post is because I want to share one reason why i love Free People. I think my reasoning for this is because when i was a teenager i never wanted to really follow the normal Brighton High School girl style. I feel Free People has clothes that just step outside the norm yet still super stylish. Well while searching the internet one day i found this YouTube video that shows how the hairstylist for Free People made the rainbow braid. I love the new info and can't wait to get my own set of extensions that are scheduled for 2 weeks, so i'll get to try this out (minus the bright colors) in a few weeks.

Haircut
Since I've gotten my haircut i haven't updated you on how i feel about it. I LOVE IT! Kim Byrd is my hair stylist and she cuts at Main Attraction on Main St in Bountiful and she did an amazing job! When we had talked about my cut and color i was slightly worried about my color. I was thinking that i was going to be really dark and have these bright white strips on top. Well that is defiantly not how it turned out. The color is amazing, i have my dark natural brown hair with a shade lighter highlights that look carmel/bronze in the sun! I've had soo many comments on my hair, I'm very happy with the outcome! If you'd like Kim's number leave me a comment and I'll get it to you!

I was all worried that the dreaded weather we have been having was going to make the BBQ a totally bust. Well it didn't turn out too bad. It got a little chilly but nothing a blanket to huddle in couldn't help. It was so good to have all my old friends meet my new friends and to just hangout and eat amazing food brought by everyone. There was a few things i was very stoked about, one of those was my yard looking soo awesome. I just have to say thanks to my awesome husband and sister-in-law for mowing, trimming, and sculpting the bushes. The yard look perfect! The other thing i was excited about was my house was totally de-cluttered and it gave me an excuse to buy new bottles of hand soap and smelly good thing from Pier One.

So along with my yard looking amazing my house is super clean and with a new fresh smell. What can be better, I'll volunteer for a BBQ at my house anytime. Lets do it again soo!

Today is FINALLY the day when i get to have my hair dyed and cut. Man it's been along time, at least 2 months, and it's much needed!! My hair is thicker than i think it is, but when it grows out it gets really heavy and it hangs like wet dogs hair and when it gets to that stage there is no where to go other than my sister-in-law for a cut.
When i get my hair done i try and do something slightly different each time. So this time I'm going to just trim the length and add a few layers around the face. Kind of like Necia Degering from Good Things Utah, this picture must be old because it has more layers.
The color is going to be the major difference this time. I've never been too worried about hair color, i mean when you've dyed your hair every color including purple, bright red, and black there's really nothing that scares you. OK that's a lie I'm actually really scared of being a blond, but if you were half Asian you would be scared too! So the color this time is doing something i have never done before. I'm adding a Carmel highlight and a low light to my natural color. I know it doesn't sound too dramatic but i think I'm to that age where I'm trying to make myself look more mature, especially since everyone i come into contact with they always think I'm 19 at first.
Well I'll post pictures of my new do when i am finished and style to my liking! I'm always up for new and different hair styles if you find anything fun send me a link!
Hair can make or break a style!
If you have an amazing outfit but have over processed 80's curls with the poofy bangs, i can guarantee that you'll be noticed for your hair and not the outfit. In my life if i am going to start a new chapter i like to start fresh with new clothes, new accessories and new hair.
My new hair adventure started at Lunatic Fringe.
When i first heard about Lunatic Fringe and it being a high-end salon i had 3 pre-conceived notions about them, the price being little too high , snotty rich ladies and their talk filling the room, and super fast pace action with no personal one on one time with my stylist. After i made my appointment i asked 'the price' question, the answer i got was surprising. Only $50 for a cut. To some this may be expensive, but to me who would regularly pay only about $10 less and would have to go back to the stylist for a little fix here and fix there, this was not a bad price. (Don't get me wrong i love my old stylist, i feel it's okay to have more than one.) Now that i felt better about the price i could start to figure out how i wanted my hair cut.
The next day i arrived at Lunatic Fringe (2545 E Parleys Way) I instantly fell in love with the lime green decor, the modern style furniture and how clean and organized it was. 
I actually felt comfortable to sit in the chair and pick up the papers on the table and not feel as if i was going to catch some incurable disease! Everyone there was super kind and very detail oriented from the receptionist to the assistants running around cleaning up the stylists hair mess. But that's exactly what they were all doing, running around, and wow was this a super fast pace salon.

But that's exactly what they were all doing, running around, and wow was this a super fast pace salon. Let me just say I was very impressed with the whole process of getting my haircut. I actually felt like there was a full consultation, wash, cut, then style. During the consultation she listened to my thoughts and added her own little funkiness in there, making sure i agreed upon it. After the well needed massage i got during the wash the cut began, and it began with instructions on why she was cutting this way, that way, and the reasoning behind that. This was one of my favorite parts, I'm use to just the stylist doing their thing, i don't know why they cut the hair in the direction or why they held it that way. The style portion was the same way and made perfect sense on every step. This just goes to show that minus the craziness going on around me i still got my one on one time with my stylist.
When i was sitting their getting my hair styled i realized that one of my other notions had been very wrong. From what i saw there was more a variety of people in there with different fashion styles, different sexual orientation, and people from different monetary value. It was actually one of the best places i have ever 'people watched' at.
Overall my time at Lunatic Fringe was great! The stylist was awesome, the atmosphere was fun and i felt my money was well spent. I will definitely being making a trip back there for my next cut! Thanks Chelsea and Jessica!
