I thought since all I have posted on this week is how I've been sick and rereading my posts and I've found they were very boring. I apologize! So I wanted to reflect back on some of the memorable and not so memorable moments of the week.

Good Moments
*A week ago Saturday I went wedding dress shopping with my best friend Ang. Wedding dress shopping was a blast, we had some funny moments that I can't wait to talk about when we are old!
*Monday I didn't have any clinicals (that's a good moment within its self).
*Tuesday work was slow so I got to go home for 5 hrs and guess what I did...SLEPT it was probably the best nap I think I've had in my whole life!
*Wednesday even though I was sick I had to go to school, that's not the good moment but I bought a new Kleenex box while I was at school and by the time the 8 hrs was up I had 5 Kleenex sheets left. Can you believe that, I've never finished a whole box in one day. OK that wasn't a good moment but maybe an unbelievable moment.
*I called my teacher Wednesday night and told her I had a fever of 101.3 and she granted me the next day off from school. Yippee Skippee!
*After waking up late for my test I ended up getting a 97%!

Not So Great Moments
*On Saturday I went to the Mac counter thinking I might by some concealer and had the make up lady put some one me. Well I thought I liked it at the time but while wedding dress shopping I kept getting a glimpse of my pale caked face self in every mirror. And believe me there was ALOT of mirrors! Lets just say I took the concealer back and got a full refund. On to the next brand, any suggestions?
*Sunday at work I started getting a sore throat :(
*On Wednesday when I used the whole box of Kleenex I had a red nose and looked like Rudolph. It was kind of embarrassing but I had no choice I had to go to school. Lets just say I didn't look people in the face that day.
*Friday morning I had a rude awakening when I looked at my phone and saw 7:33, well my test starts at 8 or 7:40 for early testing. I jumped out of bed, jumped in the shower and ran out the door by 7:45. I hate mornings like that, its stressful. But I made it to my test on time!

WOOT WOOT! I have a treat for everyone! Yep it's an outfit post!!

Now that I look at my outfit I wish I would have worn different shoes. But oh well! Minus the change of heart on the shoes I enjoy this outfit. It's comfy, it's slightly warm, and it's simple yet stunning lol! But my whole left sleeve being longer than my right sleeve in this picture is driving me insane!! I pulled the left sleeve down before I took the pictures and for some reason didn't pull the right one down after it. GRRR. I do have to give Sydney from The Daybook credit for the watch idea. I love how she always wears her awesome gold watch over her sleeve and it's slightly loose! So Thanks Sydney!

Shirt & Jacket: F21, Jeans & Shoes: Nordstrom, Necklase: California(can't remember the store) Watch: Jeffs bowl on the dresser!

OK I'm going to be completely honest here, I am not a huge fan of skirts! Actually I really despise wearing skirts. That never happened until I got married and started wearing new 'attire' (we'll just leave it at that). I guess I just have a hard time finding skirts that are long enough, that don't stick to my 'attire', and that I don't have to wear fifteen layers underneath. I miss the days where I could just pick a skirt out and not have to worry about the static and any thing sticking out or showing. So I came up some simple(I thought) solutions to this predicament.

           Solution #1
Buy every knee length skirt I found that I actually liked.
           Problem with solution #1
Ok bad solution! First off you can't find enough knee length skirts let alone them being super cute, so this solution led to a closet full of skirts that I ended up not really liking when it came down to actually wear them.

           Solution #2
Just deal with it and wear 4 layers. Layer 1=attire, layer 2=tights, layer 3=slip, and layer 4=actual skirt.
           Problem with solution #2
Man that got old and occasionally extremely warm. Oh not to mention I felt like a snowman with so many layers.

             Solution #3
Make my own skirt. I never would have thought I could actually do this by myself, so I enlisted my best friend Angelee to help me out. PS Angelee has her bachelors degree in costume design! OK I know it's not rocket science but why not have the best of the best to help me out...right?

             Potential problems with solution #3
So far I don't see many potential problems, I mean if I get really good at this task then I should be able to make one really fast. Fabric isn't expensive. I already have my own sewing machine. OH WAIT...I hate elastics! OK that could be a very big potential problem, but I'm going to think very positively and pretend it doesn't exist.

I have 2 great tutorials to help me out with solution #3. This first one comes from the blog Freshly Picked. and the other tutorial comes from What Would a Nerd Wear. They both are pretty much the same pattern since the original one I think came from Freshly Picked, just a slight change with the elastic in the 2nd one. Which is good for me and my elastic issues.

I will be attempting to make my skirt tonight. Wish me luck and hopefully I'll have a Fun Little Outfit post wearing my new skirt.

Welcome readers to Friday!! I can't explain how excited i am for this week to be over. This week has had it's ups and downs, but lets focus on the ups!

The Ups
1. I scored a killer deal on a pair of Free People boots

I got the BEST deal on these mid-calf boots ever! They are originally $228 and were on sale for $99 but then i looked the other day and saw them on sale on sale for $29!! They had my size and couldn't think twice! I can't wait to get them I'll let you know how they fit when they get here! Oh sorry i think that deal was just a one day thing, they are now back up to $99 :( I'll let you know if i see another good deal like this again!

2. My birthday shoes showed up
My sweet husband ordered me a new pair of Vans for my birthday! I love my black low pro Vans and wear them everywhere (jeans, scrubs, or sweat pants) so my husband ordered these awesome authentic low pro gore shoes! I am wearing them today with a pair of skinny J Brand jeans, super cute that's all I can say!!

3. Bought some awesome pants from Anthropologie

I found these Daughter of Liberation pants and had to try them on! The fit is perfect, the length works with any 4 in heels, and the fabric is soft and comfortable. Very versatile for the office or a night out on the town.

4. My best friend finished hemming my clothes that i gave her after Christmas.
No picture for this one but it feels kinda like Christmas all over again, get old clothes back with a new touch! Can't wait to try them one, thanks Ang!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
