This saying is inspiration for my New Years Resolutions! So thank you to the person who pinned it, if you realize it's you and if you read my blog lol

Anyway back to the New Years resolution or resolutions. Here they are...

1. Decrease the amount of clothing that is bought per month.
I know I did a resolution like this last year and it lasted maybe 2-3 months. But this year I'm going to try and make it slightly easier and more specific with simple rules. Rule #1-it's okay to buy while on vacation. #2-it's okay to buy an outfit for special occasions example-wedding, graduation, and birthday. #3-when buying ask myself if it's a necessity, do I have something similar, and is this going to be out of style next season. and #4-pay in cash!

2. Don't get jealous of people who have things you can't afford, but appreciate the things that are necessities in life that you do have.
Looking at a lot of fashion blogs makes you, or at least me, focus on the more materialistic things in life. It also makes me always want something new, I'm guessing it just comes with blogging and my personality. So this resolution I'm going to try and switch my thinking from 'Man I'd love to have that bag' or 'How does she afford those boots?' because we all know, those things aren't important. What is important is that I'm able to buy food to put on the table, enjoy a nice (soon to be) new warm home every night, I have a great job, and an amazing husband and family!

3. Compliment at least one person per day
It feels good to be complimented, I know I enjoy it!

and
4. Enjoy more time with Jeff
More husband time=happy me!

I personally think these resolutions are amazing, but I might be a little bias lol I'd love to hear your New Years Resolutions, so tell me all about them!

Hope you guys have a great New Years Day!

OK after these last 2 weeks I needed to get away and my family was going down to our condo in Vegas so I hitched a ride. Man BEST idea I've had this month. I didn't really want to go down to the Strip, or gamble, or shop I just wanted to go to get away from the horrible weather and the thought of school. Well that didn't work I went shopping, to the Strip, and gambled each day I was there.  I had a blast with my family. I defiantly needed this.

When we went shopping I found a new purse!! Look oh look at how amazing this purse is! Thank you Coach for making this beauty! I'm using the long strap it comes with to make it a side bag, it's perfect for me. So this counted for my one purchase every 2 months. I noticed as I was shopping in designer store heaven that I was going to buy something, so I had to make my purchase count. I went through the Juicy Couture store and found stuff I really like but nothing I loved. Window shopped the Michael Kors store, nothing appealing. Then I passed the Coach store, I never go in the Coach store because I'm not a purse person. Well I'm glad I did, now I'm the proud owner of that purse above.

Now that I've made this new purchase I'm kinda nervous for the next month and a half. I had to fight the urges to just buy one thing in Vegas and now that I've had a taste of the stores, the fabulous clothes out there and the feeling of new clothes it's going to be very difficult. Wish me luck, hopefully school will keep me super busy so I don't think of it.

OK I know today is my {How To} series day which I do intend on showing you my skirts I made last week but I've had an 'AWW' moment this week.

While I was out with my mother-in-law shopping I bought some clothes for myself. I got home and my husband just pulled the 'Do you realize how many clothing pieces you have bought in the past could of weeks? Half of them you haven't even worn yet..' Well honestly I hadn't noticed how many pieces I'd bought. I know I have a lot of clothes but it didn't really register in my head, I mean I have 4 closets full to be exact! With those 4 closets full I should be able to find an outfit without any problem. So from there I CAME UP WITH MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!!

My New Years Resolution will be to not buy more than 1 clothing piece every 2 months, with exception of my birthday and to truly enjoy the clothes I have.

HOLY COW this will be tough, don't get me wrong! I'm hoping that from this experience I will be able to see the clothing I have in a new creative way and also will be able to learn to save money better. I'm actually extremely nervous about this goal. I've never been more serious about a New Year resolution before, it's kind of exciting.

Let me know what your New Years resolution for 2011 is? And tell me why you chose it?
