My blogging world has recently been flipped up side down. It seriously took a complete 180 degree flip for the better. This has nothing to do with sponsors or giveaways because really those things haven't changed or haven't started however you want to think about it, but a few things have changed.
Here are the changes:
I've never really been a massive huge fan of the name of my blog. Sounds stupid right? You would think that if you're going to blog you would pick a name that you love, well obviously I didn't and I've been thinking about changing it lately. I told my sister in law this last night and she made me open my eyes to how perfect my blog name fits me and my lifestyle. So I'm going to be a dork and explain it to you, because it changed how I feel about it.
So I work full time as a nurse which means 3 twelve hour shifts a week either from 7AM-7PM or working the glorious night shift from 7PM-7AM the next morning. When you work those glorious night shifts you pretty much work 5 days a week instead of 3 because of the recuperation time and preparation time(at least for me).  Then on top of that the on call shifts(one a month) and I'm also on the Code Blue team at work, this too has been slightly time consuming lately. I'd say I've been doing at least a meeting every other week for 2 plus hours and this time is going to increase in the next couple of days.
So there is my work stuff, then we have this thing called school. Yep I'm still in school to get my Bachelors in Nursing. All this consists of is time consuming assignments, at least 2 days have to be dedicated to hurrying and doing my assignment. I say 2 days because I'm a procrastinator and wait until the due date to do them. There is school.
So if you can tell my life can get really busy at times because then you add the mix of family obligations and friend obligations in the mix and I think when do I find time to blog. That is where my blog name fits perfectly with my lifestyle. I do it 'On the Fly'
DING DING DING! It's amazing! Love it! and now I don't need to change it! (which is GREAT because man what a lot of work! lol)
This change hasn't happened quite yet but I'm working on it soon....new blog layout to come first of the year or sooner! Yippee I'm sick of the small pictures and bringing in the larger ones!
Recently I've started actually meeting other bloggers and really feeling part of the blogging community out here in Utah. The blogging community is HUGE I never knew there were soo many of us out there. I'm so grateful that these lovely ladies helped me plan the Dessert Social and the bloggers who came! So with that said...who's planning the next event? LOL

Peace out!

I've had some interesting thoughts on blogging lately. I think this thought process was sparked because holy moly I'm almost at 100 followers. So here are my thoughts...

*I really love blogging because it's difficult to me. I never thought I'd say blogging is difficult but being a more math/science brained person that can't write worth a darn makes it hard. Writing interesting content or actually being able to turn my feelings into writing is way difficult for me, not to mention I have a very small case of dyslexia. Put all those things together and wham bam you get me!

*Blogging gives me something to do daily.  Pictures everyday, (unless you decide to do like 4 outfit pictures in a day, not my style) photoshop everyday, and writing the post which equals your computer attached at your hip and constantly looking at your iPhone to see if things posted that were scheduled. Not to mention you get the opportunity to meet new people in a casual yet fun way.  Man I sound like a geek!

*Blogging gives you new ideas with clothes you already have. It's always helpful to see how others style a piece that you have in your closet.

*I use to think that in order to get more followers you have to do the whole giveaway thing. Well now I've decided if a company wants to give me something or willing to give me something it's more just a chance to give back to my amazing readers who visit frequently!

and my last thought on blogging

*Every blogger does it differently and thats ok! One blogger can be totally casual while the next is proper as proper can be. One blogger will always have their toenails painted (obviously not me lol) and the next just doesn't get around to it ;) But the fact that your able to show who you are and enjoy doing it makes blogging fun and unique!

Ps thanks for reading and I'll be back on tuesday(working graves all weekend)

Today I decided to do a little different outfit post. I decided to post some alternative ideas to wearing the tank top in a modest and fashionable way. I know that this has been something I have had a hard time with, such a hard time that I avoided fun tank tops altogether for a very very long time. With that said here it is
Pants-J Brand, Shirt-Target, Tanktop-Old Navy, Shoes-Tory Burch
Below I posted 4 alternatives to the look above, the white t-shirt under the tank top look.

Cardigan-Nordstrom Belt-F21
Look #1
 The easy go-to cardigan!
Cardigans are the greatest cover-ups and it also makes it so you aren't wearing that many layers. My closet is FULL of cardigans like this one, couldn't live without them!

Shirt-Walmart Belt-H&M
Look #2
The Chambray shirt!
Chambray=A-MAZING! That's all needs to be said about it!

Jacket-Levis, Shirt-Urbanwear
Look #3
 The Jacket
I mixed it up with this one slightly. Not only did I put  the jacket over the tank top but I also did a button down underneath. It added some spice, not to mention I loved the dots and strips mixing (if you can even tell that the orange shirt has dots on it)

Shirt-Levis, Belt-F21
Look #4
Button-Down Beauty
The button-down underneath anything makes everything look fancier, at least I think so. I chose a white button-down but you can do any color and most patterns. The more the colors and patterns the more fun the outfit!

Well there you have it, hope you enjoyed it. It was fun to make and I even came up with new ideas for my own outfits! Have a great day!

Since I was traveling over my birthday I didn't get the chance to share my Birthday Wish list, so here goes!

Unfortunately I can't get all these awesome things, but I'm leaning towards the Nikon body or the Marc Jacobs bag and the Free People wedges or the Citizens of Humanity pants...whats your opinion??
Happy Birthday to myself :)

Thanks Sarah from Simply Sarah for this award, I love feeling apart of a blogging community with these awards! I'm excited to share with you 7 random facts about myself. Thanks again Sarah!

There are rules with this award, they are:

         1. Link back to the person who awarded you
         2. Write 7 random facts about myself
         3. Share the award with 15 other bloggers

So here we go with the 7 random facts about myself!

1.  I could live off fruit or aka be a fruititarian! I can eat it anytime and anywhere! I pretty much like ever single type except papaya. My favorite fruits are apples, watermelon, strawberries, and raspberries! My joke is I eat an apple a day and I still see doctors at least 3 days a week. :)

2. I swear I'm going to be a college student for forever. I've been going to college since I graduated high school in 2003. Not ever semester has been full time credits but there is just so much to learn and lets not forget that the nursing program here in Utah is so competitive to get into. I'm still in school now getting my BSN and will graduate in the Fall. Even after that I still want to take some graphic design classes and maybe some photography classes...told you perma-student.

3. My favorite candy is Sour Punch Straws in the green apple flavor! I absolutely could eat these every day, really I could eat anything sour every day! Just talking about it makes my mouth water...YUM!

4. When I was 8 years old my mom let me watch the show Aliens with her and my dad and to this day I am still deathly afraid of that show and those creatures! If it's on tv and I accidentally stop on the channel my heart starts racing, my palms get sweaty, and my hands start shaking. Call me ridiculous but I'm too scared to face this fear and there is no way that I'm going to google a picture of these things to put on here, no way, no way at all!!

5. I love wearing sweats but I hate not getting ready for the day. If I get up and shower, do my makeup and my hair then put sweats back on I feel like the biggest laziest butt every and I won't go anywhere or accomplish anything productive. But if I'm up at my cabin up at Bear Lake, shoot I could care less if I shower, do my make up, my hair, most of the time up there I live in my swimming suit and swim clothes. (ps I have about 4 pairs of this pair, Victoria Secret Boyfriend Pant)

6. I hate steak/prim rib! I can't explain it, I just do!

7. I can play the piano, flute, a little of the guitar, and the drums. I have played the piano ever since I was 6 or 7 and still love it. I started playing the flute when I was in middle school in the band(yes I was a band nerd), I don't really play this anymore only because I let my cousin use my flute so she could learn. My friend in high school taught me a little bit of guitar and I think it would be awesome to take lessons(Emme Packer!!) and in high school my boyfriend bought me a drum kit because he played and so I took lessons then. When I got married to the Hubs I plays too so we had 2 sets in our basement.

Well there you go, 7 facts about myself you might have not known! Now for the 15 bloggers that I'm passing this award on too.
